Well 2011 has been much better than 2010 to start off with!  In 2010 on Jan. 1st I broke a fullsized mirror and it went downhill from there.

I had Adam's family's Christmas celebration on the 1st and we had a great time!  I had 2 photographs published for the first time in the Bangor Daily News website (newspaper)!  I worked at the art gallery yesterday and had to pack boxes of glassware.. and I didn't break or chip anything!! Had a dentist appointment today.. I found out my tooth infection never went away, so they did't have to pull my tooth today! (Thank god!) But I do have to get more antibiotics that will hopefully work this time.

All in all life is much better in 2011.  I don't really have a resolution this year.  I think I'm going to try to make it to every fire dept meeting though.  And maybe try a 365 photo a day thing like I tried last year... we'll see how that goes!

How was your New Years??

So.. Image Gazer Productions is no longer.. it makes me really sad.  We were just located in a bad spot and with winter coming, they jacked up the rent... so I'm off on my own once again.

A lot of knew things have been happening here at Latona Photo.  I'm still shooting weddings (I have a shotgun wedding coming up in 2 weekends!!) and taking pet portraits, but now I'm doing more photography with models.  

I have 3 close friends who are great at modeling with me and we're working on photographing trucks, cars, and other things that go.  Another friend does customization of vehicles (through paint jobs, lifting, and lowering) with Coastal Auto Body here in Maine and I'm doing photography with him!

I have another guy that I will be working with who does chrome polishing and we have a few 18 wheelers that we will model with!  It's getting really exciting and I'm very happy with all the good words that have been flowing!  I just went to a car show today for Autumn Gold Days here in Ellsworth, Maine.  I was talking with a younger guy who has started up a Auto Club in the area and I might have 30 ... THIRTY cars to model and photograph!!! I'm stoked!!

Life is good overall here in Latona Photo! <3

I got a professional photography job!!! I am going to be operating out of a business front on Main St in Ellsworth with the company Image Gazer Productions!! I'll specifically be doing Pet Photography and also helping out the owner with some weddings if she needs it!

I am so excited... The picture of Harley and Dunken: latonaphoto.deviantart.com/art… is being printed off 16 x 24 on masonite and will be put in the main window! I am soooooo happy.. finally all my hard work is paying off!

Hello Everyone!

I've created a new place to put my more "professional" photos.  The ones I've taken at special events, for friends, for family, and for pure pleasure!

My other account will still be active with my other art.. the ones that are "okay" but not up to par as I would like them to be!

This was one of my New Years Resolutions for myself.  I have dubbed my photography "business" as Latona Photo.  The town I live in has a spring called Latona Spring, legand has it that it was named this back in the 1800s after the Roman Goddess Latona, or guardian of clean water and protector of the harbor (if I remember right).  I remember going Latona Spring since I was a child and I figured I would pay tribute to the clean, cold water that runs from it's spout.
